We are pleased to announce the appointment of Professor The Hon Greg Hunt to IDA’s Advisory Council.

Established to convene some of Australia’s most respected experts and leaders in their fields, IDA’s Advisory Council serves a vital function advising our Risk, Allocation and Investment Committees on emergent trends and opportunities relevant to our investment strategies and decision-making.

The Hon Professor Hunt’s appointment marks a significant addition to Council. Over a distinguished 20+ year career in Federal Parliament, Professor Hunt held some of the nation’s most senior ministerial portfolios including Health, Aged Care, Environment and Industry, Innovation and Science. His leadership during Australia’s response to the global COVID-19 pandemic helped deliver one of the highest vaccination rates in the developed world underscoring his ability to navigate incredible complexity amidst extreme volatility to make critical decisions in the national interest.

With unmatched expertise across healthcare, ageing, environment & innovation and decades of experience operating at the highest levels of public policy and investment, Professor Hunt brings rare and valuable perspective to these rapidly evolving sectors; all of which feature at the centre of our investment focus.
